The industrialist Morgan Hannicut has set up a field station in Greenland to research the local mineral resources. One day, his grandson Herb sees a gigantic figure rising from the depths of the sea in the Arctic, trapped in a huge block of ice. This terrifying iceman is transported to Montreal by helicopter for research purposes. Scientists manage to bring the huge creature - half man, half beast - back to life. This event becomes a unique sensation. Frightened by the unknown world, the iceman uses his primal strength to gain freedom. Nothing can stop him. Is a catastrophe looming?
