They came from the dead...A monstrous, chilling terror stalking the living...
A group of fashion models disturb the tomb of a mummy and revive an ancient curse. Along with the mummy rising, slaves who were buried in the desert thousands of years before, also rise, with a craving for human flesh.
Director: Frank Agrama
Starring: Brenda Siemer Scheider, Barry Sattels, George Peck
Four beautiful models travel to a remote village on the edge of the Sahara to shoot a fashion photo-layout for a top magazine. Here they stumble upon a soldier of fortune who has violated the last tomb of the murderous Pharaoh, Safiraman.
Their photographer decides to shoot the layout amid the mysterious splendours of the tomb. Unknown to them, they are activating an ancient and unstoppable curse to 'rise and kill'. The ghastly remains of Safiraman and his army of living dead wreak unspeakable vengeance on the intruders and the local people...
Much in demand from cult film collectors - but with the original film elements considered lost in some unknown sarcophagus - there was little hope that this film would ever see the light of day as a restored Blu-ray release. However, surviving 35mm German and Spanish prints were located, and whilst these have certain inherent print damage, a composite was able to be made which allowed for all the complete film (plot & gore) to be scanned in 2K, cleaned-up and restored as much as possible. Additional colour grading was then carried out by Treasured Films.
Treasured Films is proud to present this former Section 3 'video nasty', fully complete and uncut and making its UK Blu-ray debut here as a much treasured special edition!
