When a film crew goes missing in the Amazon jungle whilst shooting a documentary on local cannibal tribes, anthropologist Harold Monroe is tasked with trekking into the green inferno to rescue them. After discovering the team’s film rolls amongst their rotting remains, Monroe travels back to New York and, amid a sensationalised media frenzy surrounding the story, views the raw footage to discover what befell the hapless crew… and beholds events so shocking that even the TV networks decide not to air it!
