Sisters Grace and Lee are travelling through the swamps of northern Australia with Lee's friend Adam. After a detour to a crocodile farm (particularly popular with tourists; the martial feeding of the reptiles weighing tons...) they go on a fishing trip in a wide-ranging river delta. But the pleasant holiday trip turns into sheer terror in a matter of seconds when the boat capsizes. While the trio barely manage to escape into the half-high mangrove trees, their boat driver is reduced to animal feed with precise bites. So the holidaymakers now cling to the branches, which seem unsafe, the boat is stuck upside down in the mud, and somewhere in the black waters around them death is lurking. Patient, quiet, well hidden. Sometimes it is just a splash, then the nightly crushing of prey bones that sends shivers down the desperate bones - the prehistoric beasts are simultaneously omnipresent and invisible. They have tasted blood and are not prepared to vacate their territory...
